Sounds like a good idea. Best of both worlds. Quiet when you want it civilized, and wide open when you want it loud. I’m thinking of doing a pair on my S8 w/V10. The custom exhausts sound great, but they are expensive and all the time same sound. There are times I’d like it to be quiet, but a lot of times I want it loud. They have some nice electric cutouts out there now, but they’re a couple hundred a piece.
So yeah, do it.

Have these on my LS swapped Land Cruiser. I also don’t have cats. Don’t get the cheap ones. They don’t like road salt dirt etc.

Just be responsible with them. A guy on my street starts his 5.3 silverado every day with them closed, then just opens them 5 seconds later every time. I like beating him down with my empty Uplander when they are open because it’s funny. Guessing fuel trim gets nutty for a while when you open or close them.
